OnePlus Forum Week in Review Week 86: Passing on the Torch

Well everyone. I have some news that you may have guessed by the title of this post which I will save until the end of this post. So, without further ado let's go ahead and start this OnePlus Forum Week In Review. 

This week has been full excitement and the whole enchilada of fecal matter that is the iconic Worst Thread of the Week. But first let's grab the beef. 

First off, The OnePlus 3 Camera Blobs... I mean boobs... got released and here is the picture.

It is very hard to hide those, you know. they almost always show through. So, long time user @Manav Bhagia announced that the camera "boobs" got released thanks to his friend Pavan Kumar. Well, I found a picture of them before they got released, as you see. 

I digress though. 

Another would be a user who hates a company because he was wastin' away in Margaritaville. As we all know that "it's my (YOUR) own damn fault." In other words, this user "bricked" his new OnePlus 3T and is blaming the company for it. The tech support wanted to remote desktop in, but the user has decided not to let them even try to help. The user who created it will be concreted in this Week In Review... @jamesbond13

Next, a little bit of cheese is an order... or was it onions? Maybe garlic? Okay... I think you see where this is going... So everyone I present to you The Meaning of Life.

Okay, not the great movie by Monty Python. Rather the thread by @palau. It was quite a funny read, I admit. There is one other than this that will fill that enchilada with fecal matter.

The one that does that, of course, is the iconic Worst Thread of the Week. It is not a klimaxo thread this week... this week it goes to a user named @F_Sparsh_Bhatia_yUrJ  with the thread aptly titled "This community going to dogs.. Oneplus 3, OP2, etc. Beware..!!" in which the user complains about the moderation in the community and goes as far as calling the community an "app." While there IS an app for it in the Play Store, the community website itself is actually a website; not an app. Thankfully the thread ends with the user getting his just desserts. Though he definitely looks professional and should know how companies work. Mods are the peons of the admins themselves. There is your completely honest answer. 

So, as I mentioned at the beginning... I have news. As we all know that @dsmonteiro has started writing a Unofficial Forum Week In Review post for the past 4 weeks on the forum in homage to @sidlittlefield and OnePlusHub. I will be hanging up the jacket and passing on the torch to him. So, over the next few weeks (when I have time) I will be using this website to try to revive the old Forum Week In Reviews from OnePlus Hub (no promises though). Therefore giving them a more permanent home.

OnePlus Forum Week in Review 85: Back to the Old Grind!

Yep, I remembered where we left off from OnePlus Hub. [May it rest in Peace 😞 ]

Well, to start off... I really don't even know where to start anymore...

In the words of Soundgarden "I've Been Away For Too Long"

So for this very reason, there will be NO WORST THREAD. Only the funniest I have come across in my few days of return.

I promise you though the Worst Thread will return Soon™. [Darn it, old meme...]

I do apologize for rustling your jimmies but I think I need to let this one die with Harambe. *cough* DICKS OUT! *cough* [HAHAHA! I am on fire with the old memes!] I digress though. Let's return to the topic at hand. OnePlus Forum... Oh what good times I [I mean we] have had there.

First of all this week our notifications all got bombarded thanks to the new trophy system. Which can be used to trade in your hard earned points for... raffle tickets! Which honestly doesn't sound like a HUGE failure on OnePlus part. That word is, of course, used loosely though. I don't know how successful it will end up being nor how far it will go. If anyone wants to give it a go, my good friend, and fellow forum user @meatandy has made a thread about how the raffle works. Go and check it out!

Now for the moment that no one YOU ALL have been waiting for. The funniest thread of the week [aka FTOTW]. This was a tough decision, but due to one being a bunch of posts to a quite well known big, uncontrollable green giant and the other actually being a thread. I had to go with the message to Mr. Carl "pie" [I believe I have actually seen this sort of thread in the past; misspelling of name]. This thread was created by a lowly Cupcake who goes by the name @F_Er_Shiv_Sethi_ifFO [really long name man... I literally had to copy and paste your name!] and then the beautiful post by @SimonRam, which i may never forget as it is the best post there, that read "Wonder if Bill Gates gets this kind of thing?" Simon, I would like to give you a fist bump for that beautiful comment.

In case you all were wondering about the first one, I was not going to leave anyone hanging there either. Here it is!

As always, thank you all for reading. I will try to get the Worst Thread of the Week in for the next installment. I will try to be more in touch with the forums due to the fact I have broken down purchased a OnePlus 3T. I am @Baymax on the forums in case you didn't already know that.

Also, next one I am hoping to write next Saturday since it will technically be the end of the week at that time.
